Magnus Dorian sole member of the rock project known as "The Exit Door"
A cup of black coffee vibrates like a pool of water from Jurassic Park. Dorian stops playing his black Fender Stratocaster and unplugs it from the red combo amplifier sitting in his living room. Next to the Kandinsky used as a backdrop for his first headshot photo is a desk he tells me "dropped out of the sky just for" him. Whatever that means. "I had always wanted one" he tells me, "and one day, there it was!" As he describes to me his love for what he calls stereo symmetry, I get the feeling he's been down this road many times in his head before. "Chaos is really evident in our reality" he explains. "I have developed quite a love for it, personally, and have much experience with it. I think the music is really kind of a reflecting pool for an inner cache of collected images that have held strong for me throughout my experiences. Through The Exit Door I can only hope to convey something unknown to myself. In time, I will feel that I have succeeded."
